Zero Emission Vehicles, Fuel Cells and Hydrogen

The Ocean State Clean Cities Coalition, the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources, the University of Rhode Island, and NEESC hosted a policy forum, industry briefing, and technology showcase that focused on the use of hydrogen and fuel cell electric vehicles as a means to help meet zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) goals.  The total number of ZEVs projected in the state of Rhode Island by 2025 is approximately 24,700 vehicles. The information presented by the panels of experts highlighted existing policies; potential deployment strategies and infrastructure requirements for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles; and hydrogen fueling and energy storage technologies.
